How fast time
passes. I remember when I was young how slow time went by. I waited a
year for Christmas to come now it seen it is only three month. But time
is not what my blog is about.
I was thinking about the beauty
around us, and how we can find beauty everywhere. Africa for example
such a poor continent, so much hunger and misery and still we find
beauty over there. I have never been there but I had seen pictures, the
bast space in the land, the blue in the sky, even the dusty air make it
unique, wow Africa sound powerful.
When I lived in New York, it
was love at first site, I though of New York as the greatest City in
the world, and it is but so is Paris, and London, Sidney, Berlin and
Tokyo... The world is full of great City, there is something
magnificent and unique on each town and each city.
On my last day
in New York before I move out my friend took me out on the City, and as
I walk through the City lights, I was aware how grand the city was, how
majestic does it looks, how small it made feel. How to live all that
was a very hard thing for me to do.
When I move to Miami I fell
in love with Miami, It was the flavor of the city, the hot sun, the
rhyme, and the ethic. Miami dance, it vibrate. Miami is beautiful it
has it own magic.
Today I am enchanted with the beauty that
surround the Mid-West. The Anglo, European traditions, the beauty of
the valley all the lake and the mast portions of water, the fertility
of the land, that lay back living and small town quality.
Now I am
dreaming with moving to the west coast, wow . My sister Jo-Ann move to
Portland Oregon every place she visit she call me and described it to
me. She call me from Mount-hood, she said it feel as if you could
almost touch the peek. Then she went to the coast and she told me how
incredible beautiful the coast is, how she wishes I was there, I wish I
was there too. I will love it too like I love each corner of this
planet, each rock, each mountain, each river and ocean, each beach as I
love humanity.
I wake up hungry this morning, I look in the fridge and find nothing to
eat, well not really but it is the same old, old. I just feel for
something different and exited.
I remember when I lived and work
in Miami beach sometimes we call for Bahamian breakfasts, I love the
cornmeal with fry fish on top and a of sweet onion sauce.
Yes it is
one of those day when I feel like having some completely different,
even a good old fashion southern breakfast will do, so fry apples with
Canadian bacon and cheese grids and eggs will be fine. I fine not grids
here in the mid-west and that is something I missed from the south. Not
it is not that one cooking is better than the other, they all have they
own specially. I am very sure I will missed do many mid-western cooking
when I live, specially the braz and the great variety of sausages, and
cheeses.
There are food that only New Yorkers know and
understand, sometimes I missed Fresh made Knishes, not to mention the
New York pizza, New York is an international food festival.
